Oppn. takes to the roads to enforce bandh in Bihar

Patna, Dec 08 (UNI) The entire opposition demonstrated and protested across Bihar to enforce bandh during the nationwide shutdown call of the farmers on Tuesday against the Centre's new farm laws.

The activists of Rashtriya Janta Dal ( RJD), Congress, Jan Adhikar Party ( JAP ) and other left parties staged aggressive protest obstructing vehicular traffic and train services at different places in the state during the bandh.

In the state capital, the workers of various parties gathered near main Dak Bunglow chauraha in the morning. Their protest in support of the farmers engulfed the entire area leading to severe traffic jam in the state capital and its adjoining areas.

Following demonstrations in Hajipur, a long queue of vehicles were seen on Mahatma Gandhi Setu which connects North and South Bihar. The entire traffic came to standstill causing severe inconvenience to the commuters.

Meanwhile, JAP President and former MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav squatted at Dak Bangla Chauraha along with his supporters who tore the banners and posters of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar displayed there.

Congress State president Madan Mohan Jha also protested at Dak Bangla Chauraha and later the activists of RJD and Congress blocked the traffic on the main roads.
