Bhopal, Dec 7 (UNI) As a proud nation celebrated Armed Forces Flag Day; Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan issued a clarion call to social welfare organisations, public representatives and other citizens vis-à-vis extending wholehearted cooperation to families of military personnel.
Official sources said that the senior politician made a monetary contribution to the Flag Day Fund. Director (Sainik Welfare) Brigadier Arun Sehgal (retired) pinned the flag to the veteran leader’s chest.

Bharat bandh: MP Police on high alert

Bhopal, Dec 7 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Police is taking absolutely no chances vis-à-vis Tuesday’s nationwide bandh.
Special posts have been erected on the state capital’s limits for searching purpose and checkpoints set up within the city’s sensitive areas. Madhya Pradesh’s northern border plus Gwalior and Chambal divisions are under priority surveillance. Directives were issued by Headquarters to all district police superintendents.

Bhopal, Dec 7 (UNI) Firing a broadside in the context of a matter that has snowballed into a major issue on the national scene, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday accused the Congress and other opposition parties of attempting to derive political mileage by using cultivators as a façade.
“The very people opposing agrarian sphere legislation tooth and nail plus supporting the nationwide bandh are the ones who were clamouring for such agricultural reforms! In its 2019 manifesto, the Congress expressly mentioned that it would arrange for trading of farm produce – including export and interstate trade,” a Bharatiya Janata Party release quoted the veteran leader as saying.

Bhopal, Dec 7 (UNI) The fatality figure owing to the ‘millennium scourge’ mounted to 3,347 on Monday in Madhya Pradesh where ten fresh demises were reported even as the infected tally touched 2,15,957 with 1,307 more sufferers being detected during analysis of 29,324 specimens.
A Health Services Directorate bulletin issued tonight pegged the active cases at 13,443. Indore District continued to have the dubious distinction of spawning the highest 509 new instances; Bhopal 317; Gwalior 74; Jabalpur 48; Ratlam 37; Ujjain and Rewa 24 each; Khargone, Dewas and Bhind 19 each; Satna 18; Sehore 16; Harda 14; Sagar and Jhabua 11 each; Betul ten; Rajgarh nine; etc. The silver lining is that 1,99,167 individuals recuperated; 1,245 of them on this very day.
