Brazilian regional operator Brisanet has seen demand for its services triple during the social isolation period due to the new coronavirus, while the number of customers grew by over 64 percent in 2020, reports Folha de Pernambuco. From January to September, 204,000 households became Brisanet customers, totaling more than 550,000 users, according to Anatel data.
The operator is continuing to boost its coverage in Northeast Brazil, with its franchise operator, Agility Telecom. Brisanet is present in five states in the Northeast: Ceara, Rio Grande do Norte, Pernambuco, ParaĆba and Alagoas. The company expects to close the year with 80 percent growth compared to 2019.
