MLA distributes blankets

Imphal, December 06 2020: MLA Karam Shyam distributed blankets to homeless people at Khwairamband Keithel today and urged the people to show appreciation and support to the youth for their good work.

Karam Shyam expressed satisfaction with the work of Cycling for Humanity led by Rohan Philem, who had been feeding the homeless daily wage earners at Khwairamband market for the last seven months.

He added that such an act has prevented people from dying due to hunger during the COVID-19 pandemic and prevented crimes like theft and burglary resulting from starvation.

"A post by Rohan Philem asking for blankets for people dying at Khwairamband market caught my attention and I am doing humanitarian service by donating the blankets to the homeless daily wage earners at Khwairamband Keithel," he added.
