Ludhiana, December 5

Lok Insaaf Party (LIP) leaders and workers staged a protest against the farm Acts and burnt the effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi outside the DC office here on Saturday. LIP leaders, including Randhir Singh Sivia, Baldev Singh, Gagandeep Singh, alias Sunny Kainth, and were among those present.

They also raised slogans against the Centre to express their anger against the farm Acts. They said they would keep supporting the farmers who were protesting against the laws for a long time. They claimed that the Narendra Modi-led Central Government has introduced these laws to favour corporate houses.

“We demand that the farm laws be rolled back by the government,” they said.

The protesting leaders of the LIP said they would support the farmers’ call of ‘Bharat Bandh’ on December 8.
