Bahrain's National Broadband Network (BNET) has installed a Fibre Checker feature to its website, showing fibre-optic connection availability across Bahrain. Fibre Checker is available to individuals and business owners on the BNET website by entering one's full address. Users then receive a message informing them of fibre-optic availability at that address, and request that they visit their preferred telecom operator to subscribe for the service at areas of availability.
If the service proves unavailable, users are urged to contact their preferred operator in order to raise a request. CEO Mohamed Bubashait said the broadband company was delighted to launch Fibre Checker as it grants users the opportunity to ascertain the availability of fibre-optic connections in their areas.
