Mumbai, Dec 7 (UNI) The BSE Sensex on Monday ended an all-time high at 45,426.97, advancing 347.42 pts on the strength of Telecom, Health Care, Industrials and FMCG stocks.
The Nifty of national stock exchange rose by 97.20 pts at 13,355.75.
The equity market remained on top for another session on Monday, as the Sensex opened higher by 20 pts to 45,099.92. It spurted 379 pts to 45,458.92, days high before closing at 45,426.97, advancing by 347 pts from its previous close.
The Nifty recorded days high and low at 13,366.65 and 13,241.95 pts respectively.
The sectoral indices that went up were Telecom, Health Care, Industrials, FMCG and Energy stocks.
The scrips that increased were ONGC, Bharti Airtel, Hind Unilever, ITC and HDFC.
However, selling in Nestle India, Kotak Bank, Tata Steel, Bajaj Finance and Maruti Suzuki capped from further gains, broker informed.
The Mid Cap rose by 0.95 pc and Small Cap by 1.30 pc.
In 30 scrips, 19 advanced while 12 declined.
