The Toronto Police Service have arrested a 61-year-old man made in connection with a sexual assault investigation.
On Friday, November 20, 2020, a 16-year-old girl attended a one-on-one, residential tutoring service in the Morningside Road and Sheppard Avenue East area.
It is alleged that the man providing the tutoring sexually assaulted the girl. The man tutors math, physics, calculus, science and data management.
On Thursday, November 26, 2020, members of Sex Crimes – Child & Youth Advocacy Centre arrested Rasiah ‘Vimal’ Vimalakanthan, 61, of Toronto. He is charged with sexual assault and scheduled to appear in court at Toronto East, 1911 Eglinton Avenue East, on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at 2 p.m.
