In The Prom, Ryan Murphy is giving a popular Broadway show the feature film treatment, bringing in Meryl Streep and Nicole Kidman to do it. It follows the drama that unfolds as a lesbian teenager is banned from going to the prom with her girlfriend in a small Indiana town.

December 11: Torbaaz on Netflix

Directed by Girish Malik, starring Sanjay Dutt in the lead role of an Army officer, Torbaaz is about child suicide bombers in Afghanistan, who have been trained to believe that killing enemy is a virtue. However, an Army officer transforms the life of these kids with the game of cricket. It also stars Nargis Fakhri and Rahul Dev in key roles.

December 11: Durgamati on Amazon Prime Video

Bhumi Pednekar will be seen in the lead role of Durgamati, which is the remake of Telugu film Bhaagamathie. Pednekar’s character is an IAS officer who is arrested for the murder of her fiancé. However, there’s more to the story than what meets the eye. The film features a haunted mansion, some scary moments and a mysterious woman who takes everyone for a ride.

December 11: Lahore Confidential on Zee5

Starring Richa Chadha and Arunoday Singh in lead roles, Lahore Confidential focuses on an Indian agent who travels to Pakistan on a mission to uncover terrorists. While undercover as a poet, she meets different people and falls in love. Whether she manages to be successful or not, forms the crux of the story.
