We might not see Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 hitting store shelves in the first half of 2021. As caught by Reddit user PWEisBullshit, publisher Paradox CEO Ebba Ljungerund told Avanza that he does not believe Bloodlines 2 will be ready for release in the first half of 2021.
When asked why the company has left Bloodlines 2's release window quite open, Ljungerund said, "I do not think it will come in the first half of the year, but we will see."
While development on Bloodlines 2 has been facing a fair number of problems, especially due to COVID-19, Ljungerund also cites the decision to bring the game to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, and the lack of devkits for the purpose.
"It depends a bit on which countries we are talking about, but it was a bit of a breathing pause," said Ljungerund. "Now it will be a bit tougher again and it is not great. At the same time we are building long-term and preferably you would not want any delays at all. part of the business and something we are used to handling."
