The Swiss Stock Exchange SIX has invested in Custodigit, the joint venture formed by Swisscom and Sygnum, a Swiss and Singapore-based financial technology company in the regulatory process of obtaining a Swiss banking and securities dealer license. SIX digital exchange, the end-to-end platform for digital assets, and Custodigit plan to provide an Institutional Digital Asset Gateway.
The gateway will support the investment chain from trading, to smart order routing, settlement, custody and access to secondary markets. Banks will have access to crypto-currencies and digital assets. The Gateway will enable banks to develop new financial services.
The companies plan to introduce the first service in Q1 2021. Deutsche Borse has also invested in Custodigit. Deutsche Borse, Swisscom and Sygnum are partnering to jointly develop a financial market infrastructure for digital assets. Custodigit provides a system for the custody of digital assets for regulated financial services institutions. The integrated platform allows bank customers to manage the entire life cycle of their digital assets.
