HYDERABAD: After a close battle in GHMC polls, the BJP has shifted focus to Delhi. BJP state chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar along with other senior leaders including Union minister of state for home affairs G Kishan Reddy will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday.
The leaders will apprise him of the how the party narrowly lost few wards in the civic polls and the overall picture.
This will be the first meeting of state party leaders with all the important leaders including Union home minister Amit Shah after the success in GHMC polls.
They will discuss the result of GHMC elections, and also to thank Union ministers Prakash Javadekar, Smriti Irani and other leaders for campaigning in Telangana for GHMC elections.
Sanjay had received a call from PM Modi after the polls. Sanjay will be in Delhi on Monday and return to the city. There will be closed-room meeting of all important leaders and review on the upcoming by-election for Nagarjuna Sagar. The party is trying to rope former Congress minister K Jana Reddy’ son Raghuveer Reddy as their candidate and wants both father and son should join the party.
“There will be some clarity on by-election tomorrow,” sources said. After the meeting, the party leaders are likely to hold press conference in Delhi. Sources said a prominent TRS leader may also be in Delhi to meet the leaders.
