MANGALURU: Mangaluru city south MLA D Vedavyas Kamath celebrated his and BJP state president and MP Nalin Kumar Kateel’s birthday by providing electricity connection to a poor family in the city on Monday.
The family of Geetha was living in a small house in Maroli that did not have electricity connection for the past 40 years. Party workers from the locality brought the issue to the notice of the MLA and requested him to help the family. Kamath took the initiative and cleared all blockades to get an electricity connection to Geetha’s house. To commemorate the occasion, Kamath celebrated the birthdays of him and party state chief at Geetha’s house.
BJP district secretary Sudheeer Shetty Kannur said Kamath has followed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s motto of ‘Sab Ka Saath, Sab Ka Vikas’ literally by realizing the dreams of a family.
