Three arrested for duping company of Rs 31.41 lakh

The Khanna police arrested three persons on the charge of criminal breach of trust and recovered Rs 31.41 lakh from them.

The accused had fled with Rs 39 lakh of the company when they were sent to deposit the money in a bank account.

A case had been registered on the complaint of the owner of the company.

Gursharandeep Singh Grewal, SSP, Khanna, said the FIR was registered on November 26 in which the owner had stated that his employee Nihal Vijan, alias Lovy, of Uchha Vehra, Khanna, along with his brother-in-law Jatin Mehta had fled with the bag containing Rs 39 lakh which he had to deposit in the bank.

The SSP said a team conducted a raid at New Friends Colony in Khanna and arrested the accused Nihal Vijan, alias Lovy, Jatin Mehta and Anil Kumar involved in the case.

Money amounting to Rs 31.41 lakh, gold/silver ornaments worth over Rs 6 lakh and other borrowed household articles were also recovered from them.

During questioning, accused Nihal disclosed that he had a plan to go to abroad with his family with the help of his brother-in-law’s travel agent friend Khalid Ahmed of Hyderabad due to which he committed the crime.
