Williamson enforced the follow on and West Indies were off to a worst possible start as Boult struck in the 2nd over of the innings. Things got bad to worse for them as Wagner got two in the same over. The score soon read 5/53 before Holder and Blackwood resisted again, but for just a short while. Holder got out playing a rash stroke and it looked like we will have the result on Day 3 itself, in spite of a few rain interruptions. And then Blackwood met Joseph and that was the start of a terrific stand that troubled the Kiwis but they just failed to go past the association of Blackwood and Joseph. They threw everything they had at both of them but it just didn't go their way at all. And it was a tough final session for the Kiwi bowlers.

The day would still belong to the Kiwis as they have taken 15 wickets in this game. 9 in the first innings and 6 here. It was Southee show in the morning as New Zealand rolled over West Indies in the first innings. He got good support from the other bowlers as well. Apart from skipper Holder and Blackwood, none of the Windies batters could offer any sort of resistance. It was a sorry batting display from them.

Terrific counter-attack from Blackwood and Joseph and they have taken the game into Day 4. At one point, it looked like the Kiwis will be able to wrap up the things well before Stumps but these two had different ideas. They just went from strength to strength and kept on piling the runs. A few missed chances didn't help New Zealand's cause.

Kyle Jamieson to Roston Chase: OUT! LBW! Yes, there is no bat and it is hitting the wicket too. Chase has been removed with an absolute ripper of a delivery from Jamieson. It is the inswinging yorker from him and Chase is all over the place as he tries to keep it out. He misses to get hit on the pad. A loud appeal follows and the umpire agrees. Chase opts to challenge the onfield call. But it won't really help him because Ultra Edge shows no bat and the Ball Tracker shows it to be crashing on the middle pole. Chase has to go. 53/5

Day 2 Report: Skipper Kane Williamson scored a brilliant double hundred as New Zealand dominated the proceedings on Day Two of the ongoing first Test against West Indies at the Seddon Park. On Friday, Williamson made his highest Test score of 251, surpassing his previous best of an unbeaten 242 against Sri Lanka at the Basin Reserve in January 2015.

Starting the day at 243/2, the hosts lost Ross Taylor early as he went back to the pavillion after adding seven runs to his overnight score of 31. However, the dismissal didn't have any impact on Williamson who went on to score his 22nd Test hundred.

The New Zealand skipper batted with all the composure and elegance, occupying the crease for more than a day's play, facing 412 balls and hitting 34 fours and two sixes before his innings came to an end in the final session of the day, soon after which the host declared their innings at 519/7.

Apart from Williamson, Tom Latham and Kyle Jamieson made notable contributions of 86 and 51* respectively. For the visitors, Kemar Roach and Shannon Gabriel took three wickets each while Alzarri Joseph picked the remaining seventh wicket. At stumps, West Indies were 49/0 as openers Kraigg Brathwaite and John Campbell remained unbeaten at the crease on 20 and 22 respectively and the visitors still trail by 470 runs.
