‘Defamatory’ tweet : Another notice to Kangana

Amar Deep Singh Dharni, former president, District Bar Association, Fatehgarh Sahib, has served a legal notice on actress Kangana Ranaut for posting a ‘defamatory’ tweet and mocking a woman protester on the Delhi border.

Advocate Rajbir Singh Grewal said he had served the notice on behalf of his client AS Dharni, an advocate, who is also a farmer. He had mentioned that the post was seen by millions of people, so by uploading such ‘derogatory’ tweet, Kangana had also lowered the prestige of other women who were participating in the stir. Meanwhile, the president of the District Bar Association, Moga, Rajpal Sharma, also served a legal notice to Kangana Ranaut. — TNS
