Udhagamandalam: The Nilgiris has been witnessing a fluctuation in new Covid-19 cases in the past one week. Active cases increased to 198 on Friday, when the district logged 43 new cases. The tally now stands at 7,533.
While Ooty town alone reported 10 cases, the remaining new cases were spread across Gudalur, Coonoor and Kotagiri blocks.
At least 25 patients were discharged on the day, taking the total number of recovered patients to 7233.
