Fill up vacant post of Health Director call rung out

Imphal, December 04 2020: A general body meeting of the All Manipur Health Services Doctors' Association was held today at the Shiroy Hall, Imphal Hotel, with Dr Th Suresh Singh, and Dr Sh Shurchandra Sharma, (retd) Directors of Health Services as presidium members.

In the meeting, the association passed resolutions including accepting the resignation tendered by the past president of the association, electing a new president, and constituting a new executive committee.

The association also demanded filling up of the post of Director MHS which has been lying vacant since the previous Director retired on November 30, by the next senior most MHS officer.

If this issue is not cleared within the next week, the association will call a general body meeting to discuss the next line of activities.

In a statement the association also requested consideration and approval of the 56-page Draft Manipur Health Services Rules 2020, prepared by the Drafting Committee constituted for the purpose by the Government.

They also demanded inclusion of NPA in the pay fixation of ROP 2019 for MHS officers be approved from January 1, 2016 as previously agreed by the Chief Minister and to settle the problem of NPS contribution by the MHS officers with the help of CMOs, TOs and Director (Treasury and Accounts) .
