Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said that epidemics like Corona are a threat to the internal security of the country and the government should deal with this challenge effectively. Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Azad said in an all-party meeting on Friday about the corona epidemic that in future the government should include epidemics like coronavirus along with external threats and any internal extremism, threats to national security.

The Congress leader said that we hope that soon the corona vaccine will be available in India. The UK has approved vaccines for home use and many vaccines in India are also in the advanced stage. I am confident that the vaccine will get DCGI approval by January. The government will have to develop a system to ensure the availability of vaccines at districts, communities, and primary healthcare levels. A system of monitoring should be put in place to detect any long-term adverse effects of vaccination.

Free vaccine to the poor: Deve Gowda

Former PM and JDS Supremo HD Deve Gowda said that the vaccine price should be kept affordable and the vaccine free to the economically weaker section should be considered. Vaccine storage and transport will be a major challenge. For this, the government should set up a high-level team. This team will report directly to the PMO. Along with this, there is a need to create a network of medical and paramedical volunteers at the panchayat level.

State government supporting Center: Bandopadhyay

TMC leader Sudeep Bandopadhyay said the West Bengal government was supporting the Center in the fight against Corona. People want to know about vaccines. There are indications that the vaccine may come soon. We do not hesitate to say that the government should give full support to the institutions working on the vaccine.
