30-yr-old man found killed near Palsana

Ranjit Jadav’s body was found about from 5km away from his house
Surat: Body of 30-year-old man with his throat slit was found from the shrubs on the outskirts of Antroli village in Palsana taluka of Surat district on Friday. The victim was identified as Ranjit Jadav, a resident of Laxminagar society in Chalthan village which is about 5 km from the spot where his body was found.
According to police sources, Jadav was working as a freelance designer for small embroidery units in Surat city. On Thursday night, at around 8.30 pm, he left home telling his family members that he would return in 10 minutes.
However, when he did not return even after two hours, his wife called him on his mobile phone to but it was switched off. Jadav’s family members started inquiring about him at nearby places and among relatives, but could not find him.
On Friday morning, Jadav’s was found murdered outside Antroli village in Palsana. His family which had rushed to the crime scene, identified the deceased.
“Ranjit’s throats were slit using a sharp-edged weapon and injuries were found on other body parts of his body as well. The blood stains were also found on his moped,” said police sources.
Police said that Jadav is survived by his wife and two children. The mobile phone of the deceased was missing from the crime scene.
Police suspect Jadav was murdered somewhere else and his body was dumped near the canal in Antroli village.
