Right conditioning begins at home

When a child observes his elders at home, he feels influenced. Therefore, it's very important you choose your words wisely, react carefully and not speak up unintentionally.

"You cannot do this"

Do not harm your kid's self-confidence by saying something like this.Give them a chance to explore and learn through trial and error.

"Girls/Boys cannot do this"

Kids need an open society to grow up in, not one which restricts them. It's never a good idea to impose gender-restrictive norms on young minds. Let them feel open and grow up in a tolerant construct.

"No"

Using 'no' can be a dangerous tool.If kids keep hearing a blunt 'no', they could lose confidence and feel scared.

"Don't talk to me"

By forcing your kid to not talk to you, you may be internalizing their anxiety. They may even feel afraid of opening up to you in the future.

"Stop behaving like a baby"

Kids aren't supposed to behave like adults. If they are indulging in babyish behaviour, it might mean they are nervous or anxious. Do not shame them, and instead, comfort them.
