Srinagar, Dec 4 (UNI) Around 43.03 per cent votes were polled till 1300 hrs on Friday in 33 constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir during the third phase of District Development Council (DDC) elections amid tight security arrangements.
An official said Poonch recorded the highest 83.37 per cent voter turnout while the lowest 9.31 per cent votes were polled in Pulwama till 1300 hrs.
“Kupwara has recorded voting percentage of 29.87 per cent, Bandipora 51.96 per cent, Baramulla 28 per cent, Ganderbal 19.15 per cent, Budgam 45.25 per cent, Shopian 18.15 per cet, Kulgam 58.76 per cent and Anantnag 13.11 per cent till 1300 hrs.
He said in Jammu division, Kishtwar has recorded voting percentage of 57.26 per cent, Doda 50.49 per cet, Ramban 58.10 per cent, Reasi 62.37 per cent, Kathua 53.60 per cent, Samba 60.21 per cent, Jammu 57.96 per cent, Rajouri 64.48 per cent and Poonch 83.07 per cent till 1300 hrs.
“Kashmir Division recorded an overall polling percentage of 25 per cent while Jammu Division recorded 60.52 per cent upto 1300 hrs,” he added.
An official said that there are total 280 constituencies in the UT of J&K (14 in each district) XXXXXXX pickup from para 3 of DR 1 (ELECTION-JK-DDC).
