NIA arrested man who runs human trafficking racket under placement agency

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested a rocketman of human trafficking under the guise of a placement agency in Delhi. An NIA spokesperson said that Gopal Oraon, 28, a resident of Khunti in Jharkhand, was arrested on Wednesday.

He said that Oraon was close to the arrested accused Pannalal Mahato, who was involved in the human trafficking business. Actually, it has been revealed from the FIR filed in July last year. The NIA started the investigation by registering the case again on 4 March this year. He said that Mahato and his wife Sunita Devi ran a human trafficking racket under the guise of three placement agencies in Delhi.

These people used to bring poor and innocent boys and girls from Jharkhand to Delhi and adjoining states but never paid them. Oraon used to help them in this bonding work. In this case, raids have also been conducted in four locations of the accused in Jharkhand. It has seized railway tickets, several mobiles and some documents.
