Ethio Telecom has announced the resumption of telecom services in some parts of Tigray Regional State, where fighting has been going on for the last three weeks, ENA reported. The company said telecom services had been interrupted in Tigray Region by the law enforcement operation being carried out there. Service has now been partially resumed in Dansha, Turkan, Humera, Shiraro, Maytsebri and Maikadra, and full service was returned Alamata.
Ethio Telecom says it has resumed telecom service using alternative power sources, after conducting the necessary maintenance and rehabilitation works on damaged infrastructure. The operator said it is working hard to restore telecom services in all areas of the region within a short period.
