DSGMC sends legal notice to Kangna over comments on elderly women

New Delhi, Dec 4 (UNI) Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) has sent a legal notice to actor Kangna Ranaut for allegedly using derogatory language against the farmers agitation and elderly Punjabi women.

DSGMC has demanded Kangana to soon tender a public apology.

DSGMC presdient Manjinder Singh Sirsa on Friday said ' As soon as you apologise it will be better. '

Through his lawyer in the legal notice sent to Kangna, Sirsa said' Kangna has deliberately tweeted to defame the protesting farmers, workers and other protestors , whereas, they are protesting peacefully in Delhi. Kangna has also shared a picture in her tweet wherein there were two elderly women. The language of the tweet was highly objectionable and rude.'

In her tweet Kangna had said that the elderly woman/dadi was available for Rs 100 a day for the , and this whole movement was is a provocative and planned campaign. However, after public backlash she later deleted her tweet.

'Our demand is that Kangna must apologise without any condition to the farmers and the elderly women , give a clarification and take back her tweet.'

If she does not apologise within a week's time , then the DSGMC will without any further notice will go ahead further and make efforts towards legal action.
