MUMBAI: Three foreigners were arrested with 220 gm of cocaine in north Mumbai between Wednesday and Thursday. The three are Africans and the police are yet to find their documents in connection with their stay in India.
On a tip-off, a special squad formed by DCP Vishal Thakur laid a trap on Malad Link Road on Wednesday and took Uche James, 38, into custody. He was carrying 10.14 gm of cocaine. James told the police that he got the drug from Emeka Cyprian and Chukwu Joseph, both living in Royal Palms Complex at Aarey Colony. On Thursday, the other two were picked with 210 gm of cocaine. The value of both seizures is Rs 22.01 lakh. Thakur said the cocaine seized is of commercial quantity and customers are possibly high-profile.
