Home favourite Christiaan Bezuidenhout remains in a share of the lead following the second round of the South African Open at Gary Player Country Club on Friday.
Bezuidenhout, who is fresh off his Alfred Dunhill Championship win last week, joins Welshman Jamie Donaldson at the top of the leaderboard.
"I'm very pleased. I missed a few makable putts on the par fives and a few short putts which hurt a bit, but no damage was done," said Bezuidenhout, who is currently the highest-ranked golfer in the field at 41st.
"I was controlled and solid today, and I'm very pleased to be at -10 at the halfway mark. You have to have good course management around here and I've had a good gameplan for this week. I'm not going to change anything."
Bezuidenhout completed a bogey-free five-under par 67 to join Donaldson at 10-under for the lead in Sun City.
Donaldson, who began the day four shots behind the first round co-leaders, signed a sensational second round of 9-under 63.
The former Ryder Cup star scored ten birdies and a bogey on Friday as he searches for his fourth European Tour title.
"This is a great country and I really enjoy playing this golf course," said Donaldson.
"You've got to hit fairways here... I hit a lot of tee shots in play and my iron shots were very close to the flags, and then I was able to capitalise on that with good putts... So all in all it was a very good day."
The leading duo head into the weekend with a two-shot advantage over their nearest challengers local favourites Dylan Frittelli and Dean Burmester on eight-under.
