Two kids die, five others sick due to food poisoning in UP

Ballia, Dec 4 (UNI) Two minors died while five others are critical due to food poisoning in a fair in the Narhi area here, police sources said on Friday.
Police sources here said that the kids of the Narhi village had gone to a fair on the banks of the Maghi river on Thursday night. After seven kids experienced stomach ache and vomiting, Mahima (7) and Priya Rai (14) died on the way to the hospital.
Rishu, Riya, Ridhi, Ayush and Raj, who are still sick, are undergoing treatment at the hospital while Aditya and Saptsati were sent home after primary treatment.
Police are probing the matter. Prima facie, it seems that the kids fell sick due to food poisoning. A medical team has also been roped in. Legal action will be undertaken after facts come into light.
