Declare Mirchi’s kin as fugitive offenders: ED to special court

Mumbai, Dec 4 (UNI) In an application before a special court, constituted under the Prevention of Money Laundering (PMLA) Act, 2002, the Enforcement Directorate has urged for a nod to declare late gangster and Dawood Ibrahim's aide Iqbal Mirchi's family members as fugitive offenders.
The application was field under section 4 read with section 12 of Fugitive Economic Offenders Act, 2018 with a prayer to declare Junaid Iqbal Memon, Asif Iqbal Memon (both sons of Iqbal Mirchi) and Hajra Memon (wife of Iqbal Mirchi) as fugitive economic offenders.
The agency has prayed to the court to give direction to confiscate the properties owned by them.
