MUMBAI: A 45-year-old man and his two minor daughters were found dead at his workshop in Kandivli (W) on Thursday evening. Azgar Ali Jabbar Ali, was found hanging from an iron pipe. His 11-year-old daughter lay dead on the floor while the five-year-old was found on a chair. While the cause of death of the girls was not clear, police will probe the possibility of their father having killed them.
Azgar Ali who lived in Malwani with his wife and four daughters was a pentographer - he made inscriptions on metal vessels. On Thursday, Azgar Ali left home with the two younger kids.
"When her husband and daughters did not return home for long, Azgar Ali's wife was worried. His phone was switched off. She asked relatives to find out where he was," a police officer said. A relative peeped into the workshop and spotted the bodies.
The police found a note indicating that Azgar Ali was facing a financial crunch.
