The timing of the Kolkata Metro train is being increased. From next Monday, the metro service will start from two terminal stations (Kavi Subhash and Noapada) at 7 am instead of 8 am. At the same time, the last trains will leave from Kavi Subhash and Dum Dum at 9.30 pm instead of 9 pm. The last train service will be available until 10:30 pm. The service is currently available 6 days a week from Monday to Saturday.

According to Metro sources, due to the extension of service time, 14 additional racks of the metro train will run. Metro services will run from 190 to 204 metro trains throughout the day. The rules for e-pass service for travel in the metro have also been changed. Now the elderly, as well as women and passengers below 15 years of age, will not need e-pass. At the same time, school students can ride in the metro by showing their school identity card. But they must have a smart card. However, tokens will not be issued for travel in the metro yet.

Metro officials have said that from now on from seven in the morning to eight in the morning, there will be no need for an e-pass for any passenger. Similarly, an e-pass will not be required to climb in the metro from 8 to 10 pm. However, many regulations issued for travel by metro have been changed. Instead of tokens, you have to book the slot with the help of an e-pass through a smart card. Then you can take the metro. Gradually the deadline was also extended. Passenger facilities are also being taken into consideration in Korana situation.
