Hyderabad: The contest in several divisions in the GHMC elections was close which was reflected in the margin of victory. One such was the verdict in BN Reddy Nagar division where the victory margin was just 32 votes.
BJP candidate M Lacchi Reddy emerged victorious with a 32 vote margin over TRS candidate M Laxmiprasanna Goud. Interestingly, Laxmiprasanna’s son, M Ranjith Goud, too contested from the division as an independent candidate and as per reports available, secured 39 votes.
These votes turned out to be very crucial in deciding the victory in the division. While, Lachi Reddy bagged 11,438 votes, Laxmiprasanna secured 11,406 votes.
