KALYAN: A portion of a 47-year-old dilapidated building collapsed in Dombivli on Friday afternoon, injuring two passersby. The injured people were rushed to a clinic to treatment.
The ground-plus-three storey Mahesh Bhuvan building is situated in Vishnu Nagar area in Dombivli (West).
The building was in the list of 'very dangerous' structures and a few years ago, the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation had vacated its residents while shopkeepers were running shops on the ground floor risking their lives.
Bharat Pawar, the ward Officer of KDMC said, "We have vacated shopkeepers and building will be demolished."
