New Delhi, Dec 4 (UNI) With more farmers joining in from the northern states at the national capital's borders, Ghazipur border with Uttar Pradesh has also been shut for traffic, with the agitation entering day 9, and, farmers standing ground with their demand of repealing the three agriculture reform laws despite government hinting to bring amendments after the fourth round of talks.

Farmers continued to protest at the Singhu, Kundli, Gautam Budh Dwar and other border points, braving the cold weather, while security personnel also stood guard amid the protests, now for over a week, and the wait is for the fifth round of talks between the Central Government and the farmer organisations to take place on Saturday.

Farmers' organisations on Thursday had claimed that the Centre has indicated amendments to all three new farm laws.

Ghazipur border on the National Highway 24 has been shut on Friday, with the Delhi Traffic Police advising the motorists to avoid the same and divert to use Apsara, Bhopra/DND for coming to Delhi.

The chilla border on Noida link road is closed for traffic from Noida to Delhi due to farmers protests near Gautam Budh Dwar.

Tikri and Jharoda borders, that are with Haryana, are also closed for any movement, while Dhansa, Daurala, Kapashera, Rajokri NH 8, Bijwasan/Bajghera, Palam Vihar and Dundahera Borders are open with Haryana, Delhi Traffic Police informed through a tweet.

Badusarai Border is open only for Light Motor Vehicle like Cars and two wheelers, while the Jhatikara Border is open only for two wheeler traffic, the police added.

'Singhu, Lampur, Auchandi, Safiabad, Piao Maniyari, and Saboli borders are closed. NH 44 is closed on both sides. Please take alternate routes via NH8/Bhopra /Apsara border /Peripheral expressway,' police said in a tweet.
