The West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) has announced the launch of the region's first cyber security and hacking lab.
Set up by Birmingham-based TechTalent Academy with GBP 100,000 of WMCA funding, this new Hacking Lab is free to all colleges and schools in the WMCA area, helping students learn vital digital skills. It is also be open to residents to develop cyber security skills and kickstart a new tech industry career. In the current academic year, the Hacking Lab will train 1,000 people in a range of activities such as cyber attacks and cryptography.
