Itanagar, Dec 3 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Thursday called on Governor of Brig (Retd) BD Mishra here and discussed various issues pertaining to the state.
During their meeting at Raj Bhavan, the Governor expressed his concern about law and order situation in the eastern part of the state.
He suggested for more thrust in the developmental initiatives in Tirap, Changlang and Long districts and check on overground nefarious activities against the people.
Sharing his recent meeting with Justice Nani Tagia, Judge, Gauhati High Court Itanagar Permanent Bench, the Governor advised the CM to look into the matters of duplicity in regulations and the ambiguity created in the administration of justice by such regulations and obtain an expert legal opinion to eliminate ambiguity in the process of administration of justice.
He also advised for all-out support from the state Government to the Arunachal Public Service Commission (APSC) for a foolproof system for flawless conduct of the coming Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Combined Competitive Examination (Mains).
Appreciating Khandu for his initiative of cluster farming and the nutritional kitchen garden schemes to lessen the dependence on other States for vegetables and livestock, the Governor suggested for promotion of botanical and herbal gardens in the state.
The Governor and CM also discussed to strengthen innovative ways to counter Coronavirus pandemic.
The duo also discussed in details for the continued availability of basic commodities in remote places through air carriage.
