A case has been registered against the employees of the collecting agency for embezzlement of Rs 5.24 crore out of the proceeds from the tickets of the world's highest statue Statue of Unity, located in Narmada district of Gujarat. A police officer gave this information on Wednesday.
According to the police, some employees have not deposited Rs 5,24,77,375 in the Statue of Unity Authority account. The manager of the private bank has lodged an FIR against unknown people along with the cash depositing agency at Kevadia police station on Monday night. The police have registered an FIR under sections 420, 406, and 120B of the Indian Penal Code. However, no arrests have been made so far.
