Jaipur North has maximum incidents of not wearing masks

JAIPUR: The most common reason for not wearing a mask amongst people is that they were consuming eatables, claimed officials and the maximum violations have happened in the market areas.
Cops have been asked to remain on field for maximum period of time due to the increasing number of Covid cases and check persons violating the guidelines.
In 24 hours, 242 violations were reported and cops collected a fine of Rs 31,400 for the same. This includes those violating the Epidemics Act and night curfew
For those breaking the night curfew, a total of ten incidents were reported in 24 hours and total of Rs 15,500 was collected in penalties.
“In majority of the cases, the incidents of not wearing masks are the ones in market areas, but we have also found that people themselves are more cautious when it comes to wearing face masks and following the set guidelines,” said a senior official.
No violations were reported in the wedding guidelines which have been put in place. For not maintaining social distancing in public places, 170 people were fined a total of Rs 17,000 in one day. Moreover, people were also fined for spitting in public places. According to officials, while they only counselled the persons breaking the night curfew in the initial days, now they have started penalising the violators as the curfew will be in place till December 20.
