New research by UK cloud and managed services provider Maintel shows that Brits would still prefer to use mobile phones and WhatsApp applications to contact friends/family, rather than Zoom.
The research shows that only 2 percent of Brits want to be contacted by their parents on Zoom, despite increased use of the video conferencing platform during the pandemic for work and group chats with family/friends. This suggests that contacting family/friends through Zoom will be a short-term trend driven by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The research also shows that younger Brits are more open to using Zoom for business interactions, with 9 percent of 18-24 year olds wanting to be contacted by a business on Zoom.
