Lenovo has taken on the rising demands of a wide range of laptops with a wide range to appeal to all budgets. The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i, which is part of the luxury lifestyle category, offers some exclusive and practical features that make it one of the most attractive laptops to purchase. After using it for almost a month, here’s what I liked about the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i.

Look and Feel

The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i features an all-aluminum build that looks and feels superior to the touch. It is packaged in a colorful box with a stylish cover to ensure that heads turn whenever the Yoga Slim 7i is in the space.

The Yoga Slim 7i weighs 1.4 kg, 1.5 cm thick and comes with a 14-inch form factor. One of its highlights is definitely its lightweight and compactness while you handle it. With a 180-degree rotating hinge and metal chassis, this laptop feels very sturdy in comparison to most of the plastic-shell laptops available in the market.

Display and Sound

The Yoga Slim 7i features an IPS panel with a glossy full HD screen. The minimum bezel display makes the 14-inch screen look bigger than it truly is, the IPS screen gives a more extensive viewing angle than most non-IPS screens found on rival laptops. Whether you’re video conferencing, working on Gmail, browsing the internet or watching YouTube videos the display of the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i is beyond ordinary in all scenarios.

It has Dolby vision, so supported content is a real treat to your eyes. The design also includes two front-facing speaker grilles placed on either side of the keyboard enhanced by Dolby Atmos that gives sufficiently loud audio experience, for entertainment purpose or in a small meeting room setting. What I’m really missing here is a touchscreen which most laptops in this price range do offer.

Smart IR Camera

Something I discovered about the camera on the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i that is noteworthy is its camera. You are greeted with Windows Hello for sign-in choice, which is proficient. When the set up is finished, the camera works super-productively, for sign-in purposes as well as for a few different uses. The Lenovo IR camera is affectability converged with AI. The camera detects that you’re absent, and consequently pauses the media. Also, when you return, it opens the screen and continues playing it. So convenient, right?

Performance

Speaking about the performance of the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i, I should concede, the laptop worked without a stammer. I performed various tasks and tried multitasking to push the laptop to its limits, and the machine worked really well with no issues whatsoever. Driven by the Intel Core i5-1035G1 and combined with the Intel UHD Graphics plus the NVIDIA GeForce MX350 GPU, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i will be able to handle all your activities, both personally and professionally.

With a full charge, the Yoga 7i will last you easily for about 7-8 hours depending on your usage and it takes about an hour for a full charge. If you’re working on heavy duty tasks like designing or video editing then it might last you for lesser hours.

Verdict

Priced at approximately INR 78,000, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i does have an expensive price tag but as mentioned earlier it is positioned in the luxury lifestyle category. The laptop’s decent battery life, all-aluminum built along with a few other highlights make it worth the cost. However, a touchscreen integration could have been a valuable addition.

The Acer Swift 5 can be a great option if you’re looking for a laptop with a touchscreen at similar price point.
