RAJKOT: A total of 8,808 bottles of Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL) and 239 cans of beer, all worth Rs 35 lakh, were seized from three different raids conducted in Vanthali of Junagadh district and Samakhiyali of Kutch district on Tuesday night. One person was arrested in the operations.
In the first operation in Vanthali, 7,128 IMFL bottles were seized from a truck near Vanthali market yard. “Four bootleggers namely Samir Rabari, Kirit Chhelana, Bhupat Kodiyatar and Bhavesh Rabari fled from the spot. The accused had come to divide the share when we raided the spot, acting on a tip-off,” said Gerubha Vaghela, assistant sub-inspector with Junagadh rapid response cell.
