Three die of Covid, total cases reach 25,536

Imphal, Dec 3 (UNI) Three persons died of Covid while 146 new cases were detected and 235 discharged.
In the past twenty-four hours, 135 persons (68M, 67F) from the general population and 11 personnel from the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new COVID-I9 positive cases.
The positive persons were tested at JNIMS (47), RIMS (9), Imphal East (3), Imphal West (6), Maipakpi (3), Mother’s Care (1), Advance
Hospital (1), Lamjingba (1), Iboyaima (1), Shija Hospital (10), Imphal
Hospital (1), Jivan Hospital (1), Raj Medicity (3), Escent Diagnostics
(12), Thoubal (4), Bishnupur (7), Ukhrul (2), Tamenglong (4),
Churachandpur (9) and Babina Diagnostics (21).
The positive cases from the general population were from Imphal West (49), Imphal East (41), Thoubal (10), Bishnupur (17), Kakching (3), Ukhrul (2), Tamenglong (4), Senapati (1), Churachandpur (7) and Tengnoupal(1).
All were locals without any significant travel history. They were
being shifted to the Covid Care facilities. All necessary medical
precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing were in place.
In the last 24 hours, three persons aged 56 yrs (female, Imphal West),
69 yrs (male, Imphal West) and 75 yrs (female, Bishnupur) expired at
Shija Hospital (1) and Raj Medicity (2) respectively. The cumulative
number of deaths was 294.
The total number of discharged persons was 235. They were from CAPF
(36), Home Isolation (132), RIMS (12), LKK (9), UNACCO (23), RD Wing
(2), TK Ukhrul (2), PR Kakching (7), Bal Bhavan (2), Thoubal (3),
Bishnupur (6) and Kangpokpi (1).
The cumulative number of positive cases was 25,536 (General Population
— 22,395 and Central Security Personnel - 3,141). The cumulative
number of recovered cases was 22,172 (General Population — 19,335 and
Central Security Personnel — 2,837). The number of active cases was
3,070 (General Population — 2,770 and Central Security Personnel —
300). The recovery rate was 86.82 % said Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar
