The top star, promising his brand of spiritual politics, categorically said that his party would fight the assembly elections in 2021 and "emerge victorious."

Assembly elections are due in Tamil Nadu in April-May 2021.

He expressed confidence that his yet to be floated outfit would be able to "win elections with the huge support of the people."

Announcing his decision on Twitter, Rajinikanth said, “In the ensuing state assembly elections, with the tremendous support of the people, Tamil Nadu will have an honest, upright, transparent, corruption-free, secular spiritual political setup.”

“A marvel, miracle, it will happen,” he wrote in Tamil. “We will change, we will change everything. If not now, then never.”

An announcement on matters connected to the party launch would be made on December 31, he said.
