Aurangabad, Dec 3 (UNI) A team of Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday morning raided the office of Popular Front of India (PFI) at Baijipura locality, here.
Sources said, four to five members of ED official team from Mumbai, along with local police officials and police force, reached the PFI office around 1000 hours and raided the office.
During their raids, the ED team collected some documents. Two PFI office persons, including Syed Kalim, were present.
According to Mr Kalim, he was taken to the GST office for questioning. Later, he was released.
Talking to newsmen, he said that PFI works for solving problems of people legally and extends help to needy people.
He alleged that the Central Government trying to divert people's attention from ongoing farmers agitation by taking such action and targeting such type of organisations.
Reports in media stated that the ED on Thursday raided at least 26 premises in nine states linked to the Popular Front of India (PFI) including those of its chairman O M Abdul Salam and Kerala state president Nasarudheen Elamarom as part of a money-laundering probe.
