Russian national operator Rostelecom has deployed a fibre backbone line to the Olenyok municipality in the Republic of Sakha. About 432 km of 20 Gbps lines have been built to the Arctic municipality. The operator has also deployed a distributional GPON network.
The national operator has in addition introduced a broadband tariff plan with up to 200 Mbps for customers using services on the GPON network in the Khabarovsk region.
Rostelecom has also deployed a fibre network in the village of Polovinka, in the Konda municipality of the Yugra region. Almost 500 households have been covered there.
