President Donald Trump on Thursday punted a question on whether he has confidence in Attorney General Bill Barr, as the commander-in-chief is said to be furious with him over comments about not uncovering fraud that would have changed the Nov. 3 election outcome.

“Ask me that in a number of weeks from now,” Trump said at the White House when asked if he had confidence in Barr. “They should be looking at all of this fraud,” said Trump after a Medal of Freedom ceremony.

Trump and Barr reportedly had a “contentious” meeting this week after Barr told the Associated Press that the Justice Department had uncovered no evidence of fraud that would change the results of the Nov. 3 election. NBC News reported that Trump hasn’t ruled out firing the attorney general.

Trump for the past month has made unsubstantiated allegations of voter fraud, most recently on Wednesday in a 46-minute diatribe against the election results that produced a win for Democrat Joe Biden.
