The government will not make MSP part of the law
The central government made it clear that procurement at the minimum support price (MSP) would not be mandatory in the law. However, farmers will be given concrete assurance of the existence of mandis and the continuation of MSP. The proposals to persuade the farmers were discussed in a meeting with Tomar and Goyal at Shah's residence. After the meeting, Tomar indicated a new proposal on MSP and Mandis.
According to one Union Minister, the major reason for the agitation is confusion over MSP and Mandis. This is the biggest reason for the deadlock between the government and farmer organizations. There is a discussion on how to give confidence to the MSP to continue without being included in the law. The objections of the farmers are also being studied. Tomar said, there were twice as many purchases under the MSP in the Modi government as compared to the UPA government. The government wants to give an option to sell the crop in addition to the mandi. This will double the income of farmers
MSP was never part of the law: Tomar
After knowing the opinion of the farmers, the government will give its option. Will not make MSP part of the law. Neither was there before. MSP can be ensured even without the law. Will overcome the fears of farmers. The dispute is expected to be resolved soon. - Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Agriculture Minister

Farmers' letter to Agriculture Minister - Government is running the agenda to divide our unity
Farmers' organizations have accused the government of splitting the movement. In a letter to the Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar after the farmers' organizations meeting on Wednesday, the farmers have alleged that the government is running an agenda to divide our unity.
In a letter written just a day before the fourth phase of talks, the farmers have called the government to call a special session of Parliament and demand the repeal of the three laws. It says that the movement is being led by the Samyukta Kisan Morcha Coordination Committee. The representatives decided by the committee will be involved in the negotiations on behalf of the farmers, it cannot be decided by the government. With this, it has been said that whatever the government wants to talk about will be with the representatives of the committee. Other than this, parallel talks should not be held. Farmers have said that we rejected the government's proposal to form a committee because earlier such efforts were also unsuccessful. The government wants to use it as a tool.
