Irish wholesale network operator Enet has signed a backhaul contract with BBnet, provider of fibre and wireless broadband services to business and residential customers.
The agreement gives BBnet access to an aggregated capacity of 100GB across Ireland, enabling them to expand their broadband services across the country. The additional backhaul capacity will provide core network points for BBnet's regional networks in the counties of Cork, Claire, Dublin, Kerry, Galway and Limerick. The Enet network will also enable the company to add connectivity in Cork through the Cork Internet Exchange (CIX), making it less reliant on Dublin for international connectivity.
