BSF man from Manipur martyred at LOC

Imphal, December 01 2020: Native of Manipur Sub-Inspector Paotinsat Guite of the BSF died in the line of duty when Pakistan army resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation in Rajouri sector in Jammu region on the Line of Control (LOC) today.

Haling the heroism of Guite, BSF said that the slain personnel who hailed from Senapati district attained martyrdom while displaying conspicuous act of bravery.

He not only retaliated the enemy fire but also saved many of his colleagues' lives.

"Martyred SI P Guite had displayed highest degree of dedication and devotion to duty and laid down his life in the line of duty," said the BSF.

"IG BSF Jammu, NS Jamwal stated that martyred Sub Inspector P Guite was a gallant and sincere borderman.

The Nation will always remain indebted to him for his supreme sacrifice and devotion to duty.

Border Security Force has retaliated strongly and effectively on Pakistan Army posts.

The martyrdom of the borderman will not go in vain.

Border Security Force salutes the braveheart on BSF Raising Day," said the statement.

The mortal remains of the martyr will be sent by air to Imphal and then to his native place - Maphoukuki village, Senapati district where his last rites will be performed with full State honours.

In the hour of grief, BSF stands in solidarity with the bereaved family of the martyr, said BSF.
