Chelsea defeats Sevilla: Sevilla hosted Chelsea at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjaun to play the 5th match of the UCL Group Stages as they scored 4 past Sevilla.
It was Olivier Giroud who stole the show as he scored 4 goals and took the match ball home.
He scored the first goal just 8 minutes into the match. The goal came from a Sevilla attack as Chelsea intercepted and Havertz ran with the ball forward. He crossed the ball to the French man who was composed and finished in the far corner very clinically.
The 2nd goal came as Jorginho played a through-ball to Kovacic who fed it to Giroud. He outmuscled Sevilla’s Gomez and cheekily chipped it over Pastor, 10 minutes into the second half.
The French men Kante and Giroud combined to secure Giroud’s hattrick in the 74th minute. It was a typical Giroud goal as he guided the cross from Kante, past the goalkeeper, leaving him no chance.
The 4th goal was also all Giroud. Gomez brings the French man down in the 83rd minute and the referee pointed to the spot. Giroud smashed the ball in the top-right corner to claim his 4th and last goal in the match.
